C3: Young Greens to produce a report before the Holistic Review referendum
Before Spring Conference 2019, the Green Party of England and Wales will potentially be holding a referendum on a suite of reforms to the party’s internal democratic structures and processes. These changes will impact the influence of the Young Greens, both as an organisation and the membership, within the party. The Young Greens Exeuctive Committee should produce a report on the details of these changes, and how they impact the Young Greens
Convention notes that there is likely to be a referendum on the Holistic Review
changes to the party’s democratic structures and processes.
Convention also notes that these changes impact the influence of the Young
Greens both as individual members and as an organisation, including the removal
of the Young Greens co-chairs from what is the replacement for Political
Committee, the Political Executive.
Convention also notes that these changes are sufficiently complex that members
of the Young Greens might need guidance on the impact of these changes, both to
the Young Greens and to the wider membership.
Convention therefore resolve that the Executive Committee undertake to produce
an impact report on the impact of these changes on the Young Greens and the
wider party, and the influence of the Young Greens within the party, before
voting begins on the Holistic Review referendum.
